Mareccio Castle was an old manor house.
It is situated near the Talvera torrent.
It was built in the first half of the thirteenth century and was used as a family residence of the Knights of Mareccio.
Until 1650, the castle was surrounded by a moat filled with water.
In the early 80s it was transformed into a conference center.
The European Academy of Bolzano is a private research center devoted to scholars and researchers from around the world who have the intention to develop analysis of autonomy, the preservation of the mountains, health and technology.
